This year for back to school I collaborated with Maggy London to pick out some favorite looks that would be perfect for the beginning of the school year. With many teachers back to school in August, the start of the school year can still feel like summer. Therefore, outfits need to be lightweight, comfortable, and school appropriate. I was so excited when I got asked to do this collaboration with Maggy London because dresses are my favorite look for school and Maggy London has such pretty looks for heading back to the classroom this Fall.
As a teacher, I know how important a first impression is. The first day of school I like to wear something that looks professional but also shows my personality. I fell in love with the white collar of this Aubrey Midi. It is such a classic style and the collar is the perfect pop of white against such a pretty black dress which is by the way so comfortable. The sleeveless style is also ideal since temperatures are still warm and the first day of school is non-stop excitement.
Since I teach fourth grade, I am constantly on the move doing small group instruction and individual conferences. Therefore, fit and flare dresses like the Parker are a staple in my closet. This silouette is perfect as a teacher because you can easily maneuver around the classroom in it. The style is also just so flattering and comfortable. I wear it all the time.
The minute I saw the Parker Fit & Flare dress I knew it would be a new staple in my wardrobe for school. I first loved the pop of red. It will definitely grab your students attention and keep it! It is also sleeveless which is perfect for back to school. I also love the black stitch detail at the waist of the dress which makes it very flattering.
The Parker would look great with a jean jacket for chilly classrooms and as the weather gets cooler. I even plan to wear this dress with black tights and ankle boots which are a favorite of mine for Fall!
