Nashville always feels like home and I definitely have some favorite spots now that I almost go to every time I visit. This past visit I also knocked off a couple other restaurants that have been high on the priority list. I love that it’s a city with so many places for live music but also good food, drinks, and places to stay. Here is my list of my latest favorites along with frequent recommendations from Nashville friends:
Coffee:
Cafe ROZE– cutest cafe for photos and Omg the food is so good!
Barista Parlor- has a few different locations and I love the Gulch location one! Favorite is the iced bourbon vanilla latte! Their biscuits are also amazing!
Killebrew– connected to The Thomspon Nashville hotel in the Gulch
Coffee & Coconuts– farther away in Franklin ( a nearby town that I love!) but gorgeous for the gram
Frothy Monkey– Cute location is on 12 S or Downtown!
Where to Stay/ Boutique Hotels:
Stay Alfred– At 505 is downtown and The James is at the Gulch
The Russell Nashville Hotel– I got to stay here after Bonnaroo and it is HEAVENLY. The lobby is amazing and that’s just the beginning. It is a converted Church in East Nashville and uses many of the original features! We stayed in the Tower Suite.
Vandyke Hotel: 8 room boutique hotel in the heart of East Nashville; the decor is incredible
The Waverly Nashville– Chic 2-bedroom/2-bathroom loft-style apartments with communal outdoor space and on-site concierge
Brunch:
Liberty Common– the cutest Nashville Patio Café for Brunch! *Jazz Brunch is on Sundays and adorable atmosphere
Five Daughter’s bakery ( best donuts ever)—12 South
Proper Bagel
Milk and Honey ( breakfast and lattes. Cutest black and white title wall)— in gulch
The Listening Room– live music and breakfast!
Tenn Sixteen– five points- best chicken and waffles and a low key bar ( favorite local place in East Nash)
Loveless Cafe– southern staple, kinda out there
Marsh House– restaurant at The Thompson
The Mockingbird—global AMAZING food… and decor is out of control gorgeous
Lunch/Dinner:
Monells– best southern meal in Nashville!
Husk– Downtown Nashville southern food and southern vibes
Redheaded Stranger– Neighborhood taco shop in East Nashville. NEW!
Bartaco – FAVORITE! such good food, margs, and they work with bloggers
Mas Tacos– five points Mexican- more low key than bartaco, just really good tacos!
The Grilled Cheeserie– Best gourmet grilled cheese ever; has a food truck too and coming to an East Nashville location
The Pharmacy– Best BURGERS! Across from Mas Tacos and the cutest outdoor beer garden you can sit at and eat!
Butcher and Bee– cutest setting and really good drinks and food
Five Points Pizza– soooo good
Two Ten Jack– favorite rest and go everytime- Japanese small plates and craft cocktails
Eadley’s Bar-B-Que– yummy and low key! Love BBQ!
Burger Republic– so good!
Peninsula– the chef here knows what he is doing and the menu’s keep changing. Cozy spot for a date night with an out of this world meal
Bar Otaku- An Izakaya serving Japanese soul food, yakitori, sake and beer
Tànsuô– contemporary Chinese food, 12th south location
Sweet Tooth:
No Baked– I love cookie dough and this edible cookie dough is incredible. Love all the flavors they have too!

Franklin– the cutest city south of Nashville, adorable main street and shops

Urban Cowboy– the public house bar at this boutique stay is just gorgeous.
The Dive Motel & Bar– Sister to Urban Cowboy, you can stay here too and its a swim club!
Pearl Diver– a tropical vibe and adorable decor; tropical drinks
Rare Bird– rooftop bar at the Noelle, cutest decor
L27 – rooftop bar
LA Jackson (craft cocktails)— in Thompson Hotel
The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club Speakeasy feel, craft cocktails

–Roberts Western World– stop in for some real bluegrass country and dancing, love all the boots as decor on the walls
