Hi-Low Turtleneck Sweater // Topshop Skirt (old)
As any teacher knows, there is not a lot of excess money every season to revamp your wardrobe. This is extremely hard for me (as I know many women) when all the new trends come out and as the weather changes. One of the things I have really tried to do is layer clothes that work for the spring and fall and incorporate them into my winter outfits. The easiest way I have done this is just add solid colored sweaters, tights, and leggings. It is also a great strategy to layer in general for when you have to go out for a little extra PE time with your students on a cold day so they can get some of their energy out!
This skirt always seems to glimmer in my closet, whenever I walk in to browse what I might wear for the day and it is truly one of my favorites. I had originally bought this skirt to wear for a best friend’s rehearsal dinner which was in the spring. I love the embroidery and pleating..not to mention it is a beautiful pink color. Even though this skirt doesn’t scream winter, I wanted to wear it again right away. I like mixing unexpected colors and the deep eggplant purple color of this Old Navy turtleneck was just the pop this skirt needed. I also thought the camel color of my OTK boots was a fun unexpected match to the pink skirt.
Two more days to the week! We can do this!
